Is your August calendar full yet?!!

I know that we are in the dog days of summer.  It’s been really hot here in San Antonio… reaching over 110 degrees… and consistently staying in the triple digits.

As the summer continues to heat up… so can your business.

Let me share with you some ways to make your Summer sizzle.

I put together a list of 20 ways to fill your bookings.

First… let’s talk about all of the holidays for August that you can add a fun theme to any party or gathering that will surely grab the attention of your potential hosts.  After all, everything is more fun with a theme!!
1         It’s National Happiness Happens Month – why not bring the happy to your hosts all month long?!
2        August 1st is Girlfriend’s day – You could party all day long with a girlfriend’s breakfast, girlfriend’s lunch, a girlfriend’s happy hour and then a girlfriend’s party at night.  That makes five ideas so far!
6        Tuesday August 2nd is National Night Out.  Set up a table in the neighborhood… do a giveaway, offer free samples with catalogs and have an invite for them to come to a party at your place a couple of days later.
7        Friendship day is August 3rd.  Why not encourage your BFF to have a friendship party?
8        August 5th is Homemade Pie day.  I don’t know about you, but it’s too hot for me to bake a pie, but I sure could make a fresh strawberry pie chilled with whipped cream… and offer to bring my award winning apple pie recipe for each guest at my host’s party.
9        Who doesn’t like a root beer float?  August 6th is national root beer float day.  Invite your friend that loves them to host and you will bring the floats!
10    Sister’s day is August 7th.  It’s time to call in that favor with your sister.  Just sayin’.  We are half-way there!
11    Monday August 8th is National “The date to create” day.  Use your products to create something new… a new product, make-up look, wardrobe, organized pantry, clean oven, sign… you get the picture, right?!
12    August 13th is National Garage Sale day.  Pack your cooler with water, your tote with catalogs and samples and share your offerings with those having garage sales.  It’s a great way to get to know people and prospect.
13    August 20th is world honey bee day.  Think of the sweetest person you know and ask if she will “Be your honey” for the day and host.
14    Offer a fun couples party on August 25th as it is Kiss and make up day!
15    Look back through your list of hosts that hosted in August last time.  Offer to do a party for them and have it be even easier because you already have the guest list.
16    I scream.  You scream.  We all scream for ice cream!  Man oh man I have had such incredible cravings for ice cream lately.  Why not offer a banana split or hot fudge sundae party just for fun?
17    Take the party to the pool and let the mom’s know which day you are hosting right at the pool.  They can watch the kids swim, lounge in the lounger, sip some homemade lemonade and shop until they drop.
18    Park it at the Park.  Host a mystery host party at the park.   Let the kiddos play, the dad’s grill… while you and the ladies chill.
19    Because it is the dog days of summer… why not have a fundraising party for your local humane society or pet shelter?
20    My last but not least booking idea is – You’re not too cool for back to school.  It’s almost that time of year.  Offer a party for the mom’s to chill before they have to get the kids back in school at the end of the month.

There you have it!  There is no reason your calendar cannot be sizzling with bookings!
