    Can you believe there are only 28 days left in the year?

    I think one of the most inspirational sayings is, “It is not how you start… but how you finish. Finish strong!”

    Regardless of what your year has looked like… whether it has been stellar or lack luster, what matters most right now is how you choose to respond to the challenge before you.

    Will you finish strong?

    What you do right now is going to set up how your 2017 goes. Did you realize that?

    Let me give you some tips on how to overcome the holiday dead zones in sales and FINISH STRONG!

    Let’s talk about sales now… and later.

    For sales now (after the Black Friday & Cyber Monday boom):

    · Cookie Swap party – Dec 4th is National Cookie Day. Bring 2 dozen cookies and then swap and make plates to take home after the party.

    · Have a 12 Days of Christmas Sale
    · You can do this with offering different items on sale for 12 days OR…
    · Offer a Bundle of 12 items wrapped into a tower or into a wreath for the gift recipient to open 1 gift for the 12 days before Christmas
    · You could also offer a 12-item stocking stuffer special with 12 small items wrapped and in a stocking to go for the holidays.

    · Offer private shopping appointments to help your shoppers select the perfect gifts.

    · Do a huge mystery host giveaway. Have 10 of your best hosts or customers sell 10 of your or their favorite product. For every item they sell they get a ticket for the mystery host benefits. If the item is $25 each… that is $2500 in sales and equals up to a lot of free and half-priced merchandise to give away.

    · Pick a charity and have a particular item as an “add on” item for sales that you will deliver to a local charity to help make their Christmas. This is awesome to do with women’s shelters or senior centers.

    For sales later:
    · Sell gift certificates that can be redeemed at the end of the month or on January 1st.

    · Once your company is no longer offering the opportunity to place orders have a Jingle Mingle party Open House for Cash & Carry gifts. This is a great way to eliminate stock or even samples and then save your sales profit to order new items for a fun new kit to start the year off with.

    · Have a Humbug Day party (yes, it is a holiday). It’s December 21st this year. You can help those with holiday humbug frustrations. Help that tight-fisted man or men that have not completed their shopping. Grab some rolls of wrap and ribbon and offer to gift wrap for them as well. You can have some chili in the crockpot and cocoa on the stove to warm their hearts.

    · Take a basket of pre-wrapped (in cello with a holiday bow and pick) to auto dealerships, fire stations and anywhere else mostly men work to get those last-minute gifts they have been putting off purchasing… and save them a trip to the mall. They will be so glad you did. Be sure to have good gifts for moms, wives, girlfriends and sisters in the basket.

    · Find people that don’t celebrate Christmas and have parties with their friends.

    · Hold a last chance – first glance party for them to clearance out the Fall items and inventory and introduce your new catalogs and products. Of course, you are going to sell, but the focus needs to be on booking in the rest of your January and looking for business partners to help them pay off those holiday credit cards before they come in.

    · Schedule a party on Bacon Day – it’s December 30th. Everything is better with bacon and people will be bored from the holiday week, will usually still have company and house guests… plus cash and gift cards to spend!! Why not spend them with you!

    So… no dead zones in sales for us!! We are committing to finishing strong. This is a great way to put our dream to the test!!
