Are You Happy? 5 Questions to Ask Yourself About Your Direct Sales Business
When you started your direct sales business, you were certain that it would be more fulfilling and make you happy, right?!
What have you discovered? Are you happy?

Success is subjective and can mean different things to each of us.
How can you discover if you truly are happy about your direct sales business?
Ask yourself the following questions:
#1 Do you enjoy your business and the work you do?
(or at least most of it?)
Liking your business is the first part of enjoyment, and ultimately experiencing happiness.
John Maxwell says, “You should stay in your strength zone, but get out of your comfort zone.” When we stretch our comfort zone, sometimes it is a bit uncomfortable, but ultimately leads to the success we desire leading to fulfillment and happiness. Focus on enjoying your business, even the areas of growth, and watch your happiness increase.
#2 Do you have the opportunity to do what you do best every day?
Experiences are memories that no amount of money can buy. Doing something good for others each week can lead to greater happiness. It has actually been scientifically proven to reduce stress, get that “high” from doing our best – especially when we work with others, give free shopping sprees, and empower others.
Actually, according to a study from the University of Wisconsin- Madison discovered that when helping others was an integral part of work that the participants were more committed to their work and less likely to quit. Isn’t that cool? Those that helped others were happier at their work than those that don’t prioritize helping others.
There is a Chinese saying that goes: “If you want happiness for an hour, take a nap. If you want happiness for a day, go fishing. If you want happiness for a year, inherit a fortune. If you want happiness for a lifetime, help somebody.”
#3 Are you growing and developing personally and professionally?
Overcoming Limiting Beliefs is the usual starting place when we begin to grow personally and professionally. Limiting beliefs keep us trapped in our comfort zone and prevent us from trying new things and taking risks due to fear. We can have limiting beliefs about anything–money, success, relationships, our business and so on. Limiting beliefs about yourself and business keep you from the success and happiness you’re capable of.
Allowing limiting beliefs to hold you back will not make you happy. Identify your limiting beliefs, overcome them, and replace them with positive beliefs that will allow you to achieve what you want from life.
One of the best way to do this is to look to the opposite of your limiting belief. Once you’ve uncovered a positive belief you would like to adopt for yourself, have a conversation with your future self and start acting “as if”. That is, act as if the positive belief is true. Look at the following:
If you believed that you’re successful enough to make lots of money, what would you do?
If you believed that there are opportunities everywhere, and that they’re available to anyone who’s willing to pick the opportunity and run with it, what would you do differently?
If you believed you could be happy in your direct sales business, what would you do differently?
Now, get out there and do it. Until you can get yourself to truly embrace the new belief, act as if.
#4 Can you pay your bills?

#5 How do YOU define success?
Ditch what others put on you that success “should” look like, instead ask yourself what it looks like for you. Do you want to help others? Make your own schedule? Never have to face the rush hour traffic again? There’s no wrong answer.
On the other side, don’t shrink back because you are not meeting your goals. You deserve extraordinary success!
I have heard, “If you don’t go within, you will go without”. Take some time to reflect on these questions today. Success is directly correlated to happiness.
